I am a New York City artist and published author.
My original oil paintings, prints, and drawings belong in hundreds of public and private collections throughout the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Russia, China, and 9 other countries around the world.
My work has been shown and sold in galleries in New York City, Washington, D.C., and other major cities for nearly 20 years.
In 2004, my work was chosen by the prestigious Art in Embassies Program sponsored by the U.S. Department of State in Washington, D.C. Ambassador and Mrs. John Herbst personally selected my original oil paintings for their ambassadorial residence in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, which is in Russia.
My impressionistic oil paintings focus on my love of the natural world. Using broad, sweeping brushstrokes and color laid down in patches, my intent is to capture the natural beauty of my subject matter with power and affection.
I graduated from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, where I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in oil painting. I have also studied landscape oil painting at The Art Students’ League of New York.
My artist’s style reflects my early influences in my life, especially my formative years growing up in a rural area of northwest Louisiana, and my love of the natural world. Detail is minimized in my work and used only for the enhancement of the composition.
